Word on the street is that everybody’s favorite Max OS X-based instant messaging system has now been updated to version 1.2 Beta 6. There’s quite a lot of changes for the app - we’ll post some of ‘em so you can get your bearings. Most of the changes appear to be bug fixes designed to smooth out this application’s operations.

• Jabber and IRC accounts can now handle passwords being optional. A Jabber account will only be able to connect without a password if using GSSAPI/Kerberos
