Leaked iPhone Firmware 1.1.3 video confirmed true, stops jailbreaks

A video of the iPhone Firmware 1.1.3 was recently leaked into the internet. While some may dismiss this as a hoax, website Gizmodo and other members of the community have confirmed that this video is indeed legitimate.

Natetrue, the creator of the iBrickr iPhone app, spoke about this saying that “if it is a hoax, they did a buttload of work.” He pointed out that the program used the Apple encryption key to install the update, something that hasn’t been obtained by the rest of the iPhone hacking community yet:

It installs on the phone no-questions-asked and for that you need to have Apple’s private key, which i can confirm that the iPhone hacker community does not have - as much as we would love to have it.

Much like the previous firmware update, this relocks any iPhone. However, it prevents future unlocks using AnySim and also patches some of the vulnerabilities that 3rd party hackers have been using to run applications.

Theoretically speaking though, other solutions to such as iPhone Sim Free and hardware solutions such as TurboSim should still work just fine. However, the act of jailbreaking and activating units is still impossible as of this article’s writing.

Before we go, we’re pretty sure that you want to know what new features that iPhone Firmware 1.1.3 has. So here are the different functions that have been confirmed:

That said here’s the video of the firmware in action. Enjoy.
