Jiggy v0.22

For those of us looking to get ourselves knee-deep in developing homebrew applications for the Apple iPhone, then developer aracnid’s little package of homebrew joy, Jiggy, should be right up your alley. With Javascript as its main programming language, users can now easily make their own masterpieces of code - without having to wrestle with Safari or HTML. And that is awesome in all counts - more so if you count that this article is about th latest build, namely version 0.22.
So, what’s new with this version of Jiggy? Besides the fact that it’s only a runtime release as of now, it is still not compatible with the iPhone’s latest software, which is 1.1.3. They’re working on it, however. As for notable additions, we’ll leave you with the complete changelog so you can take it all in.
- Added parameter to gc() - 0 for forced gc logged, 1 for forced gc quiet, 2 for maybe gc
- Added Image.setImageFromData
- Added UIImageView.setImageFromData
- Added UITableColumn
- Added UITableCell
- Added UITable (with sample code)
- Added UITransitionView (with sample code)
- Added UINavigationBar.showButtonsWithStyle
